Design History: On the front of the Dunfallandy stone, near Pitlochry, is a cross divided into panels of interlaced ornament, flanked by angels and beasts. On the back, framed by two serpents, are seated figures to either side of a cross, a horseman, tools and five of the enigmatic Pictish symbols.
It is from the Pictish symbols on the Dunfallandy Stone, carved in the 9th cuntury, that inspiration has been drawn for this beautiful Pewter Brooch design.
