Many favourite sampler elements are contained within the carnation border, birds with their little love tokens, sheep and stags. This is a more advanced version of the Country Cottage sampler.
Worked on 35ct linen this traditionally styled sampler has a Wow factor with un-restrained use of rich colours creating a truly vibrant result.
This sampler would need many years of exposure to sunlight before fading into the subtle greens and browns of antique samplers. It does however, serve to remind us, that many of them started out with some beautiful rich colour schemes.
The window frames are worked over one thread therefore, this sampler can only be worked on linen.
